This Azure Secure Networking AZ-1002 training course prepares IT professionals to design, implement and manage secure networking solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will learn to configure Azure Virtual Networks, implement network peering, deploy Azure Firewall, manage Network Security Groups and secure access to Azure services. The programme covers VNet design, hub-and-spoke architectures, VPN gateways, ExpressRoute, Azure DDoS protection and network monitoring. By the end, you will be ready to implement robust and secure Azure network architectures. Hands-on labs and real-world Azure scenarios are at the core of this training. Also discover our Cloud Networking training, our CCNA Cisco 200-301 training and our Routing and Firewalling training.
This course includes numerous exercises (60% hands-on practice) for better learning. Sessions are guaranteed from a single registrant (except in cases of force majeure). A preliminary interview takes place between the participant and/or a company representative in order to fully take into account the participant’s profile (level, needs, professional context, challenges, etc.).
Assessment: during the training, the trainer assesses participants’ learning progress through quizzes, role-play and hands-on exercises. Participants receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course.
This course is part of our Computer Network Training Courses catalogue. Explore our other networking trainings to design, configure and operate reliable network infrastructures.
By the end of the course, the participant will be able to:
Preliminary interview with an expert to tailor the content to your profile and objectives.
Azure administrators and network engineers responsible for the security of cloud infrastructures. Cloud solution architects or IT professionals who manage or design secure Azure network architectures. DevOps engineers and security specialists keen to integrate robust networking practices into their pipelines.
A secure Azure network combines VNets, subnets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Private Endpoints, Bastion, VPN/ExpressRoute and DDoS Protection to apply the Zero Trust principle and reduce the attack surface of Azure resources.
NSGs filter traffic at layers 3/4 using IP/port rules. Azure Firewall is a managed stateful firewall with application inspection and threat intelligence. Application Gateway adds a WAF (L7 filtering) in front of web applications. Our MFE-IT course explains how to combine them in a defence-in-depth architecture.
Securing them relies on Private Endpoints (private access via VNet), disabling public access, service firewalls, managed identities, granular RBAC and encryption with customer-managed keys (CMK). MFE-IT presents AZ-1002 reference architectures.
Our Azure Secure Networking AZ-1002 course runs over 1 day (6 hours) in a fully tailored format, aligned with the Microsoft Applied Skills path. It covers the practical assessment scenarios of the exam.
