FAQ
What is Red Hat Enterprise Linux?

Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) is the reference enterprise Linux distribution, widely used for critical servers, the cloud and DevOps. At MFE-IT it is delivered in a small group and tailored to your context.

What is the difference between RHEL, CentOS Stream, AlmaLinux and Rocky Linux?

RHEL is the paid product, supported and certified by Red Hat. CentOS Stream is its upstream flow. AlmaLinux and Rocky Linux are free, RHEL-compatible community alternatives.

Who is this RHEL training for?

Linux systems administrators, operations, SRE, DevOps and architects who deploy or operate RHEL environments. Command-line Linux practice is recommended.

Does the course cover user management, storage (LVM), services (systemd) and networking?

Yes. The programme covers Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration: user and permission management, file systems and storage (LVM), service management with systemd, networking, package management (dnf/yum), task scheduling, logs and basic security (SELinux, firewall).

Does the course cover SELinux and the firewalld firewall?

Yes. Securing a RHEL server is covered: SELinux contexts (modes and troubleshooting), the firewalld firewall, SSH access management and hardening best practices.
