FAQ – Microsoft Teams Administration Training
What does a Teams administrator do?
A Microsoft Teams administrator manages the Teams service for the organization: tenant-level policies (meeting, messaging, app, calling), team and channel governance, voice and calling configuration (Phone System, Direct Routing, Operator Connect), device management (Teams Rooms, phones), guest and external access controls, security and compliance, and reporting. MFE-IT trains administrators on the full Teams administration scope.
How do you create policies in Microsoft Teams?
Teams policies are created in the Teams admin center across categories: meeting policies, messaging policies, app permission and setup policies, calling policies, live event policies, and emergency calling. Policies are assigned to users individually, in bulk, or via group-based assignment. Through MFE-IT’s hands-on approach, learners design a complete policy framework for a sample organization during the training.
How do you manage Teams meetings?
Managing Teams meetings involves meeting policies (recording, transcription, lobby, anonymous join, video controls), meeting settings (anonymous participants, join), Teams Rooms and devices, breakout rooms, and webinars / town halls for large events. Microsoft Teams Premium adds advanced AI features. The MFE-IT Microsoft Teams Administration training covers meeting governance end to end.
What is the difference between Teams Standard and Premium?
Microsoft Teams Premium is an add-on license that unlocks advanced meeting features: AI-powered intelligent recap, real-time translation, custom meeting branding, watermarking, advanced webinar capabilities, and Premium town halls. Standard Teams (included in Microsoft 365 plans) covers core collaboration and meetings. Our MFE-IT training course on Microsoft Teams Administration helps teams evaluate whether Premium is worth the per-user cost.
