Prerequisites
This path is intended for IT professionals moving toward the network role. The recommended prerequisites are:
- General knowledge of an operating system (Windows or Linux)
- Basic computing skills (command line, simple IP configuration)
- Technical English (reading) — useful for Cisco commands and documentation
- No specific network prerequisite: the path starts with the TCP/IP Theory module, which lays all the fundamentals
Pricing and financing
The complete path is offered at 13,700 € excl. VAT. This price covers:
- The 4 training courses (TCP/IP Network Theory, CCNA 200-301, Routing and Firewalling, TCP/IP Network Security)
- The official Cisco CCNA 200-301 exam (voucher included in the CCNA module)
- Several MFE-IT mock exams built in throughout the path
- The complete teaching materials , access to the labs and network simulators
- A global MFE-IT skills validation certificate at the end of the path
The CCNA module is validated by the official Cisco exam (voucher included in the price). The other three modules do not have a Cisco exam: MFE-IT then issues a skills validation certificate. Financing : skills development plan. More details on our financing page.

Frequently asked questions about the Network & Perimeter Security path
Who is this path for?
This path is intended for network technicians and engineers, systems administrators, perimeter security engineers, integrators and architects who want to upskill in the design, deployment and securing of enterprise networks. It is also suitable for profiles retraining toward the network engineer or network cybersecurity role.
What networking and security skills does the path cover?
The path covers networks and how to secure them: TCP/IP theory and the OSI model, CCNA CISCO 200-301 (switching/VLAN, routing, IP services, security — exam included), routing and firewalling, and TCP/IP network security (attacks, hardening, VPN, PKI).
Does the path include device configuration and a certification?
Yes. The path includes preparation and the voucher for the CCNA 200-301, with network configuration (Cisco IOS, VLAN, routing) and a perimeter security component (firewalling, VPN, TCP/IP hardening).
How long does the path last and how is it spread out?
The path lasts 20 days (140 hours, based on 7h/day), spread over 16 to 24 weeks depending on your schedule. It is our largest path: spreading it out lets you put each module into practice on a lab or simulator between sessions and properly prepare for the official Cisco CCNA exam midway through.
How is the 13,700 € excl. VAT price broken down?
The price covers the four training courses (TCP/IP Network Theory, CCNA 200-301, Routing and Firewalling and TCP/IP Network Security), the official Cisco CCNA 200-301 exam (voucher included in the CCNA module), several MFE-IT mock exams built into the path, the complete teaching materials, access to the labs and simulators, and a global MFE-IT skills validation certificate issued at the end of the path.
The CCNA module is certified by an official Cisco exam (voucher included). The other three modules do not have an official exam: MFE-IT then issues a skills validation certificate.
What are the prerequisites to follow this path?
The recommended prerequisites are general knowledge of an operating system (Windows or Linux), basic computing skills (command line, simple IP configuration) and technical English reading skills (useful for Cisco commands and documentation). No specific network prerequisite is required: the path starts with the TCP/IP Theory module, which lays all the fundamentals. The path is particularly suited to profiles retraining toward the network engineer role.
What session format is offered?
Sessions take place in groups of 1 to 3 participants to guarantee individual attention and a pace suited to each participant’s profile. On-site training can take place directly at your premises, and remote training can be recorded on request so you can review key passages. Each day alternates theory, demonstrations and guided practice on a Cisco simulator or MFE-IT lab.
What career does this path prepare for?
The path prepares you for the roles of network engineer, senior network administrator, perimeter security engineer and enterprise network architect. At the end, you master the design, routing, firewalling and perimeter securing of enterprise networks.
What is the value of the Cisco CCNA 200-301 certification?
The Cisco CCNA 200-301 certification is the world’s benchmark networking certification. It validates mastery of networking fundamentals: routing, switching, automation, security, IP services. It is one of the most in-demand and best-valued certifications in network job postings. At the end of the path, you earn this certification along with several MFE-IT certificates for the complementary modules.
What is the difference with the CompTIA Cybersecurity path?
This path focuses on network and perimeter security with an official Cisco CCNA certification. The CompTIA Cybersecurity path targets a different audience (junior CISOs, SOC analysts, pentesters in training) and covers all the cyber fundamentals (Network+, Security+, CySA+, Pentest+) with four official CompTIA certifications. The two paths are complementary: Network & Perimeter Security lays the network and Cisco foundations, while CompTIA Cybersecurity moves up toward threat analysis and penetration testing.
