Frequently asked questions about the AI Azure path
WHO IS THE AI AZURE PATH — AI ENGINEER FOR?
The AI Azure path is aimed at developers, solution architects, data engineers and technical project managers who want to move from “understanding AI” to “designing and deploying AI solutions on Azure”. Target profiles: Azure developers wishing to add an AI dimension to their role, cloud consultants looking to specialise, DevOps engineers required to industrialise models. Prior knowledge of Azure (equivalent to AZ-900) and Python basics are recommended to get the most out of the progression.
What Azure AI skills and certifications does the path cover?
The path covers AI engineering on Azure: fundamentals (AI-900), designing and deploying AI solutions (AI-102), advanced cloud AI solutions (AI-200) and agent development (AI-3004), with Azure OpenAI and Azure AI services.
Does the path address Azure OpenAI and agents/RAG?
Yes. The path covers Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, AI solution design and agent development (including RAG approaches) to industrialise generative-AI applications.
HOW LONG DOES THE PATH LAST AND CAN IT BE SPREAD OUT?
The path represents 13 days of training, i.e. 78 hours, at a rate of 6 hours per day. You can take it continuously over three weeks or spread it over several months depending on your constraints. At MFE-IT, sessions are guaranteed from a single enrolled participant (except in cases of force majeure), which allows you to schedule each module at your own pace without depending on a group’s calendar.
WHAT EXACTLY DOES THE PRICE INCLUDE?
The price covers the four official trainings (AI-901, AI-200, AI-3004 and AI-102), the two Microsoft exam vouchers for the paid certifications (AI-900 and AI-102), and two MFE-IT mock exams to practise in real conditions. The Applied Skills AI-200 and AI-3004 are free on the Microsoft side and therefore at no extra cost. Everything is delivered on-site or remotely depending on your choice, with 30 days of post-training follow-up by email.
WHAT ARE THE PREREQUISITES TO START THE PATH?
The path starts with the fundamentals (AI-901) and therefore does not require any AI knowledge. However, familiarity with Azure (equivalent to AZ-900) and Python basics are necessary for the AI-200, AI-3004 and AI-102 modules, which are more technical. If you lack these prerequisites, we can add an AZ-900 training and a Python introduction beforehand — feel free to contact us to discuss it.
REMOTE OR ON-SITE? HOW DO THE SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
Both formats are possible, including a hybrid mix from one module to another. On-site training can take place directly at your premises, and remote sessions can be recorded on request so that you can review key passages. Each session has between 1 and 3 participants maximum, with around 60% of the time devoted to hands-on practice in real Azure environments. You leave each module with concrete deliverables (notebooks, scripts, configurations) directly reusable in your professional context.
WHICH JOB DOES THIS PATH LEAD TO?
This path prepares you for the role of Azure AI Engineer (officially recognised by the AI-102 certification): a profile able to design, implement and deploy AI solutions on Azure — computer vision, NLP, generative AI, agents and copilots. The opportunities span cloud AI engineer, AI solution architect and lead ML/AI engineer roles in IT services companies, scale-ups and large accounts that are industrialising their AI use cases.
WHAT IS THE MARKET VALUE OF THE CERTIFICATIONS OBTAINED?
At the end of the path, you obtain the globally recognised Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102) certification, plus the Applied Skills AI-200 (Develop Generative AI Solutions) and AI-3004 (Azure AI Vision), which appear directly on your Microsoft Learn and LinkedIn profile. It is currently one of the most sought-after combinations in cloud-AI job postings, and it clearly sets you apart from profiles that only hold a general certification such as AZ-900 or AI-900.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE WITH THE “AI AGENTS & COPILOT” PATH?
The AI Azure — AI Engineer path aims to make you a developer of complete AI solutions on Azure: models, cognitive services, integration via SDK, deployment. The AI Agents & Copilot path, on the other hand, focuses on designing intelligent agents and business copilots (Microsoft Copilot Studio, autonomous agents, RAG, orchestration). The two are complementary: one trains the AI engineer, the other the architect of intelligent conversational experiences. Depending on your target role, one will be more relevant than the other — we help you choose during the preliminary interview.
