FAQ – Microsoft 365 Cloud Administration Training

A Microsoft 365 administrator manages the cloud productivity suite for the organization: user identity (Microsoft Entra), mailboxes (Exchange Online), collaboration (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), endpoint management (Intune), security and compliance (Defender, Purview), and licensing. The role spans daily operations, automation, governance, and incident response. MFE-IT trains IT teams on the foundational Microsoft 365 cloud administration skill set.

Microsoft 365 is the broader brand that supersedes Office 365, including all Office 365 productivity apps plus Windows licensing, Microsoft Entra (Azure AD), Intune, and security/compliance services. Office 365 still exists as a sub-SKU for cases where Windows and EMS aren’t needed. The MFE-IT Microsoft 365 Cloud Administration training clarifies the SKU landscape and helps teams pick the right plan.

The key Microsoft 365 admin centers are: the unified Microsoft 365 admin center, Microsoft Entra (identity), Exchange admin center, Teams admin center, SharePoint admin center, Intune admin center, Microsoft Defender portal, and Microsoft Purview compliance portal. Each is a separate web app today, with Microsoft gradually unifying them. Through MFE-IT’s hands-on approach, learners navigate every admin center efficiently.

Managing users in Microsoft 365 is centered on Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD): creating accounts, assigning licenses, configuring MFA and conditional access, organizing into groups, applying password policies, and provisioning from on-premises AD via Microsoft Entra Connect for hybrid scenarios. Our MFE-IT training course on Microsoft 365 Cloud Administration covers user lifecycle management end to end.
