Description of the training: Microsoft Azure DP-900 Data Fundamentals Training Course
About the Microsoft Azure DP-900 Data Fundamentals Training Course

This Microsoft Azure DP-900 training introduces you to the fundamental concepts of data in a cloud environment. Designed to provide a clear, accessible view, it is aimed at anyone wanting to understand how data is stored, processed and analysed on the Microsoft Azure platform.

During this intensive day, you will discover the essential principles of relational and non-relational databases, exploring the Azure services dedicated to each model. You will learn to distinguish the different data formats, understand the key roles in the data world and identify the right solutions for each business need.

The course also includes an exploration of modern data warehouses and large-scale analytics tools offered by Azure, including a hands-on introduction to Power BI for data visualisation. Hands-on exercises and demonstrations let you consolidate each concept. This training is excellent preparation for the DP-900 certification. FAQ
What is the Microsoft DP-900 certification?

The Microsoft DP-900 (Azure Data Fundamentals) certification validates an understanding of the fundamental data concepts on Azure: relational and non-relational data, analytics and data warehouses. At MFE-IT it is delivered in a small group and tailored to your context.

What is the difference between DP-900, DP-203 and DP-300?

DP-900 is the foundational level, ideal for decision-makers and beginners. DP-203 (Data Engineer Associate) targets data engineers who design pipelines. DP-300 targets database administrators.

What are the prerequisites for the DP-900 training?

No strong technical prerequisites. General IT awareness is enough: knowing the basics of databases (tables, queries) and being comfortable with a web browser.

Does the course cover relational, non-relational data and analytics on Azure?

Yes. The DP-900 preparation covers data concepts: relational data (Azure SQL) and non-relational data (Cosmos DB), analytics workloads, data warehousing and Microsoft Fabric/Synapse, as well as data-related roles and responsibilities.

Do I need prior technical knowledge for the DP-900?

No. DP-900 (Azure Data Fundamentals) is a fundamental-level certification with no technical prerequisites. It is a foundation before more advanced data certifications (DP-203, DP-300…).

How long does it take to prepare for the DP-900 exam?

The MFE-IT training lasts 1 day (6 hours), fully tailored, with a maximum of 3 participants per session. It covers the four domains of the exam.
