FAQ
What is colour theory and the RGB / CMYK modes?

Colour theory studies harmonies (complementary, analogous…) and the impact of colours in a composition. RGB mode is used for screen, CMYK mode for print: choosing the right mode avoids unpleasant surprises when printing. The training teaches you to build consistent palettes and manage these modes.

What is the difference between a vector image and a raster image?

A raster image (bitmap) is made up of pixels: it loses sharpness when enlarged (photos, retouching). A vector image is made of mathematical paths that can be resized infinitely (logos, pictograms). Knowing when to use each is a fundamental of graphic design.

What is a brand style guide?

A brand style guide is the reference document that sets the consistent use of a visual identity: logo, colours, typography, composition rules and variations. It ensures that all materials "speak" the same visual language. The training shows you how to read and apply it.

Who is this training for?

Communication officers, freelancers, marketing assistants, beginner graphic designers and anyone who needs to produce visual materials day to day.

What are the prerequisites?

Be comfortable with the computing environment. No prior knowledge of design is required.

How long is the training?

The training lasts 5 days, i.e. 35 hours, on-site at your premises or remotely.

Is the training hands-on?

Yes: around 60% of the time is devoted to guided exercises, in a small group of 1 to 3 participants, with an expert trainer.

Can the training be personalised?

Yes, the content, pace and dates are tailored to your project. A preliminary discussion allows us to adjust the training to your level.
