Description of the training: From Classic C# to Full-Stack .NET / Vue.js Training Course : Taking Over and Evolving an Application as a Team
Course description

This course supports an already-seasoned developer — typically coming from desktop applications (Windows Forms, WPF, « classic » C#) — in moving to a modern, decoupled web architecture. It does not teach programming again: it redirects existing expertise toward today’s .NET ecosystem and the Vue.js front-end, always starting from the tool and hands-on practice rather than from theory. Over five workshop-driven days (about 80 % practical work on a single guiding project), participants learn to pull an application’s code, follow a piece of data all the way from the screen to the database, evolve a feature, test it, debug it and submit it for team review.

Our sessions are guaranteed from one registration, with no last-minute cancellation. Please note: the working environment (IDE, SDK, Git, Docker, repository access) must be installed and validated before day one — half a day lost to setup represents nearly 10 % of the course.

Objectives of the training: From Classic C# to Full-Stack .NET / Vue.js Training Course : Taking Over and Evolving an Application as a Team
Learning objectives
  • Pull, modify and submit code through Git and Azure DevOps following a team workflow.
  • Explore and understand an existing code base you did not write.
  • Debug an issue on the front-end and back-end at the same time.
  • Write a unit test to secure a change.
  • Implement an end-to-end evolution, from the interface down to the database.
  • Query data with Entity Framework Core and LINQ rather than hand-written SQL.
  • Diagnose an authentication or containerisation incident.
  • Build a standalone scheduled monitoring job.
Prerequisites of the training: From Classic C# to Full-Stack .NET / Vue.js Training Course : Taking Over and Evolving an Application as a Team
Prerequisites
  • Solid command of the C# language (classes, interfaces, generics; async/await a plus).
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Basic reading of HTML / CSS / JavaScript (no advanced practice required).
  • No prior experience of Git, REST APIs, Vue.js or Docker is needed.
Target audience of the training: From Classic C# to Full-Stack .NET / Vue.js Training Course : Taking Over and Evolving an Application as a Team
Target audience
  • Experienced developer coming from desktop applications and joining a team working on a decoupled web architecture.

FAQ
Who is this course for?

For an already-experienced developer (strong C# / SQL background) who must join a team working on a modern, decoupled web architecture, or take over an existing application. It is not suitable for a programming beginner.

Do I need to know Git, Vue.js or Docker already?

No. These tools are covered from the fundamentals. Only command of C# and knowledge of SQL are expected on entry.

Is the course mostly theory or practice?

Very practical: around 80 % of the time is spent in workshops, on a dedicated project repository that serves as a guiding thread across the five days.

Can it run over 6 days?

Yes. The standard format is 5 days, but a sixth day can be added to deepen certain modules or address a case specific to your application.

Is this course eligible for CPF?

No. It is funded directly by the company; a quote is prepared based on the number of participants and the chosen format.
