Who is this path for?
This path is intended for DevOps engineers, SREs, cloud ops, cloud architects, platform engineers and lead techs who want to industrialize the deployment and management of their cloud infrastructures (Azure, AWS, GCP) via Terraform and automation.
If you want to stop clickops, deploy your infrastructures via versioned code, manage a shared Terraform state, write your own reusable modules and industrialize your IaC pipelines in GitHub Actions, this path is for you.
Your objectives at the end of the path
- Master the fundamentals of Terraform : HCL syntax, providers, resources, variables, outputs (Terraform Introduction)
- Become autonomous in advanced Terraform: state, modules, workspaces, multiple environments (Terraform: Become Autonomous)
- Master Shell scripting and Linux automation for orchestration (Linux Shell Scripting and Automation)
- Industrialize your deployments via GitHub Actions CI/CD geared toward IaC (GitHub Actions Azure)
- Validate your skills upgrade with a global MFE-IT skills validation certificate and per-module certificates
The 4 modules of the path
Module 1 — Terraform Introduction
2 days · 14h. Terraform fundamentals: HCL syntax, providers, resources, variables, first cloud deployments. Validated by an MFE-IT skills validation certificate.
Module 2 — Terraform: Become Autonomous (Infrastructure, State, Modules)
5 days · 35h. Advanced Terraform: shared state, backends, workspaces, reusable modules, multiple environments (dev/staging/prod). Validated by an MFE-IT skills validation certificate.
Module 3 — Linux: Shell Scripting and Automation
3 days · 21h. Master Bash, task orchestration and the automation of daily system operations. Validated by an MFE-IT skills validation certificate.
Module 4 — GitHub Actions for IaC CI/CD
1 day · 6h. Industrialize Terraform deployments via GitHub Actions: workflows, runners, automated plan & apply, secrets management. Validated by an MFE-IT skills validation certificate.

- Small group of 1 to 3 participants, guaranteed from a single enrollment.
- 60% hands-on practice : guided Terraform and Infrastructure as Code labs, shell scripts, GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, personalized feedback.
- On-site at your premises or synchronous remote, with individual support throughout the path.
- Preparation for the HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification. Several MFE-IT mock exams built in throughout the path.
- Quiz platform included in our prices: practise under exam conditions, with a detailed report provided at the end of each quiz.
- Solidar-IT : 30 € per participant donated to our partner charities (SPA, Restos du Cœur).
Prerequisites
This path is intended for IT professionals already comfortable with the cloud. The recommended prerequisites are:
- Practice with at least one public cloud (Azure, AWS or GCP) — sufficient administration basics
- Comfort with the Linux command line and a terminal
- Basic knowledge of Git (clone, commit, push)
- Personal cloud account or a lab environment available for the exercises (otherwise, MFE-IT lab provided)
Pricing and financing
The complete path is offered at 6,500 € excl. VAT. This price covers:
- The 4 training courses (Terraform Introduction, Terraform: Become Autonomous, Linux Shell Scripting and Automation, GitHub Actions Azure)
- Several MFE-IT mock exams built in throughout the path
- The complete teaching materials and access to the guided labs
- A global MFE-IT skills validation certificate at the end of the path
These 4 modules do not currently have an official vendor exam (the HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification is not covered as a certification in the path; the focus is on enterprise use): MFE-IT issues skills validation certificates for each module and a global certificate at the end of the path. Financing : skills development plan. More details on our financing page.

Frequently asked questions about the Infrastructure as Code Terraform path
Who is this path for?
This path is intended for DevOps engineers, SREs, cloud ops, cloud architects, platform engineers and lead techs who want to industrialize the deployment of their cloud infrastructures (Azure, AWS or GCP). It is suitable both for those starting out in IaC and for those who want to move from clickops to complete, reproducible pipelines.
What Infrastructure as Code skills does the path cover?
The path covers IaC with Terraform: initiation (HCL, providers, resources), autonomy (state management, modules, workspaces), automation with Linux Shell scripts and CI/CD integration via GitHub Actions to deploy infrastructure automatically.
Which DevOps tools and practices are used?
Terraform (HCL, state, modules), Shell scripting for automation and GitHub Actions to industrialise infrastructure deployments (IaC CI/CD pipelines), with best practices for state management and reuse through modules.
How long does the path last and how is it spread out?
The path lasts 11 days (76 hours, based on 7h/day), spread over 8 to 12 weeks depending on your schedule. Spreading it out lets you put each module into practice on your target cloud between sessions and gradually build up your Terraform modules.
How is the 6,500 € excl. VAT price broken down?
The price covers the four training courses (Terraform Introduction, Terraform: Become Autonomous, Linux Shell Scripting and GitHub Actions Azure), several MFE-IT mock exams built into the path, the complete teaching materials, access to the guided labs and a global MFE-IT skills validation certificate issued at the end of the path.
No module has an official vendor exam to take in this path: MFE-IT issues skills validation certificates for each module.
What are the prerequisites to follow this path?
The recommended prerequisites are practice with at least one public cloud (Azure, AWS or GCP) with sufficient administration basics, comfort with the Linux command line and a terminal, and basic knowledge of Git (clone, commit, push). A personal cloud account or a lab environment for the exercises is appreciated; otherwise, an MFE-IT lab is provided for the duration of the path.
What session format is offered?
Sessions take place in groups of 1 to 3 participants to guarantee individual attention and a pace suited to your team. On-site training can take place directly at your premises, and remote training can be recorded on request so you can review key passages. Each day alternates theory, demonstrations and guided practice on a real project or cloud lab.
What career does this path prepare for?
The path prepares you for the roles of cloud DevOps engineer, platform engineer, SRE and IaC architect. At the end, you know how to write and structure Terraform code in production, manage a shared state, create your own reusable modules, automate via Shell and industrialize your deployments via GitHub Actions. These are highly sought-after profiles in every modern platform team.
Why not the HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification?
The Terraform Associate certification (HashiCorp) is deliberately optional in this path. The teaching focus is daily enterprise use (shared state, modules, workspaces, CI/CD) rather than preparation for a multiple-choice test. If you want to prepare for the HashiCorp certification afterward, we can add a dedicated module by quote; the path program covers almost the entire scope of the exam.
What is the difference with the DevOps Azure & GitHub path?
This path focuses on Infrastructure as Code via Terraform with an emphasis on code, modules and multi-cloud state. The DevOps Azure & GitHub path focuses on DevOps and DevSecOps practices on Azure with official Microsoft Applied Skills (AZ-2008 and AZ-2001). The two paths are complementary: DevOps Azure & GitHub establishes the culture and practices, while IaC Terraform goes deeper into the code and modules pillar.
