Frequently asked questions about the Azure Cloud path
WHO IS THE AZURE CLOUD PATH — FROM BEGINNER TO ARCHITECT FOR?
This path is intended for systems and network administrators, DevOps profiles, generalist IT engineers and technical project managers who want to master Azure end to end — from beginner to architecture. Target profiles: on-premise admins supporting the migration to the cloud, IT engineers looking to become cloud architects, digital transformation consultants who need to upskill on Azure. No prior Azure knowledge is required; the path starts with the fundamentals (AZ-900).
What Azure skills and certifications does the path cover?
The path takes you from beginner to Azure architect through 4 certifications (exams included): fundamentals (AZ-900), administration (AZ-104), architecture design (AZ-305, Solutions Architect Expert) and security (AZ-500).
How is the technical progression organised?
From fundamentals to expert: Azure concepts (AZ-900), resource administration (AZ-104), designing reliable and optimised architectures (AZ-305) and securing them (AZ-500). Each level prepares for the next.
HOW LONG DOES THE PATH LAST AND CAN IT BE SPREAD OUT?
The path represents 13 days of training, i.e. 86 hours (with the advanced AZ-305 and AZ-500 modules being denser than average). You can follow it continuously over four weeks or spread it over several months depending on your constraints. At MFE-IT, sessions are guaranteed from a single enrolled participant (except in cases of force majeure), which lets you schedule each module at your own pace without depending on a group’s calendar.
WHAT EXACTLY DOES THE 8,280 € EXCL. VAT PRICE INCLUDE?
The price covers the four official training courses (AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-305 and AZ-500), the Microsoft exam vouchers for the paid certifications, and several MFE-IT mock exams to practice under real conditions. Everything is delivered on-site or remotely as you choose, with 30 days of post-training support by email. As AZ-305 (Solutions Architect Expert) is an Expert-level certification, it requires having passed AZ-104 beforehand — the path’s teaching sequence is designed to respect this progression.
WHAT ARE THE PREREQUISITES TO START THE PATH?
The path starts with the fundamentals (AZ-900) and therefore does not require prior Azure knowledge. However, systems administration experience (Windows Server or Linux) and networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewall) are necessary for the AZ-104, AZ-305 and AZ-500 modules, which are more technical. If you lack these prerequisites, we can add a systems and network refresher beforehand — feel free to contact us to discuss it.
REMOTE OR ON-SITE? HOW DO THE SESSIONS WORK?
Both formats are possible, including a hybrid approach from one module to another. On-site training can take place directly at your premises, and remote training can be recorded on request so you can review key passages. Each session has between 1 and 3 participants maximum, with around 60% of the time devoted to practice on real Azure environments (demo tenants, sandbox resources). You leave each module with concrete deliverables (ARM/Bicep templates, Azure CLI scripts, architecture diagrams) directly reusable in your professional context.
WHAT CAREER DOES THIS PATH LEAD TO?
This path prepares you for the roles of Azure administrator, cloud engineer, Azure solutions architect (officially recognized by the AZ-305 Expert certification), lead cloud engineer and Azure consultant. Career opportunities span cloud-specialized IT service companies, the IT departments of large enterprises undergoing a cloud shift, and scale-ups industrializing their infrastructure on Azure. The beginner → architect progression enables a complete career repositioning over 12 to 18 months.
WHAT IS THE MARKET VALUE OF THE CERTIFICATIONS OBTAINED?
At the end of the path, you earn four globally recognized Microsoft certifications: AZ-900 Fundamentals, AZ-104 Administrator Associate, AZ-305 Solutions Architect Expert (an Expert-level certification, particularly valued on the market) and AZ-500 Security Engineer Associate. This is the official Microsoft sequence to become an Azure Solutions Architect, and it is heavily in demand in cloud job postings — particularly in IT service companies and technical departments migrating to Azure.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE WITH THE MICROSOFT CYBERSECURITY PATH — SOC & IDENTITY?
The Azure Cloud path is generalist: you learn to deploy, administer, architect and secure an Azure infrastructure as a whole (with AZ-500 covering security on the admin side). The Microsoft Cybersecurity path, on the other hand, is a defensive specialization focused on security operations (SOC, Sentinel SIEM, Entra ID, Defender). The two are complementary: Azure Cloud trains the architect who builds and secures, Microsoft Cybersecurity trains the defender who detects and blocks. If you are hesitating between the generalist cloud route and the security specialization, the preliminary discussion will help us guide your choice according to your target role.
