Description of the training: SharePoint Online Advanced Design Training – architecture, security and Teams integration
FAQ – Frequently asked questions about the SharePoint Online Advanced Design Training What is a SharePoint Online designer?

The SharePoint Online designer designs, structures and customises SharePoint communication and team sites for business needs: hubs, modern pages, lists, libraries, Power Automate workflows, Teams integration and content governance.

What is the difference between a SharePoint communication site and a team site?

A team site is linked to a Microsoft 365 group for internal collaboration (documents, lists, Teams integration). A communication site is geared towards one-way broadcasting at scale (intranet, portals, news). MFE-IT explains when to choose one or the other.

How do you structure a modern SharePoint Online intranet?

Through hub sites (grouping several associated sites), centralised governance (managed metadata, taxonomy, retention policies), consistent design (themes, reusable Web Parts), Viva Connections integration and RBAC security. MFE-IT provides a reference architecture in the workshop.
