The Microsoft SC-900 (Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals) certification validates an understanding of the core concepts of security, compliance and identity management, together with the related Microsoft solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.
This two-day training course is aimed at anyone who wants to build a solid foundation before specialising, or to validate their knowledge with a recognised Microsoft certification. It requires no technical prerequisites: concepts are introduced progressively and illustrated with demonstrations on the Microsoft Entra, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Purview portals.
The programme covers the four official domains of the SC-900 exam: security, compliance and identity concepts; the capabilities of Microsoft Entra; Microsoft security solutions; and the compliance capabilities of Microsoft Purview. Each domain is taught with a balance of theory, exam vocabulary and concrete scenarios.
Enriched with numerous examples and mock exams, this course prepares you effectively for the certification while giving an overview of the Microsoft security ecosystem — useful for talking with technical teams and for steering a security project.
SC-900 is an ideal first step before the more specialised security certifications: the SC-200 training course (Microsoft security operations) and the SC-300 training course (identity and access with Microsoft Entra). It also fits naturally into our Cybersecurity Certified Path.
