Description of the training: Microsoft Azure AZ-305 Training Course – Designing Infrastructure Solutions (Architect)
About the Microsoft Azure AZ-305 Training Course

The Microsoft Azure AZ-305 – Designing Infrastructure Solutions training is aimed at cloud solution architects. Over 4 days, you learn to translate business requirements into reliable, secure, high-performing and cost-optimised Azure architectures, using the Well-Architected Framework and the Cloud Adoption Framework.

The programme covers governance, identity and access, monitoring, data storage (relational and non-relational), data integration, business continuity (backup, disaster recovery, high availability), compute, application architectures, networking and migrations, illustrated by numerous case studies.

This training prepares you for the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification (exam AZ-305).

Sessions are guaranteed from a single registrant (except in cases of force majeure). A preliminary discussion takes place between the participant and/or a company representative to fully take into account the participant’s profile (level, needs, professional context, challenges, etc.). Assessment: during the training, the trainer assesses participants’ progress through quizzes, role-play and practical exercises. Participants receive a certificate of completion at the end of the training. This training prepares you for the Microsoft AZ-305 certification (certification exam not included). This training is part of our Cloud Computing Training Courses catalogue. Discover our other cloud training courses to master architectures, services and best practices on AWS, Azure and GCP.

FAQ
What is the Microsoft AZ-305 certification?

The Microsoft AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert) certification validates the ability to design identity, governance, data, business continuity and infrastructure solutions on Azure. At MFE-IT it is delivered in a small group and tailored to your context.

What is the difference between AZ-900 and AZ-305?

The AZ-900 is the foundational certification (Azure concepts, cloud models, pricing, governance), accessible to any profile. The AZ-305 is the expert-level certification for architects who design solutions on Azure.

What are the technical prerequisites?

Experience administering and deploying Azure resources (AZ-104 level), a solid grasp of Azure compute, networking and storage, and awareness of identity, security, data platforms and governance.

Does the course cover designing Azure governance, storage, business continuity and networking?

Yes. The AZ-305 preparation covers designing Azure solutions: governance, identity and access, monitoring, data storage (relational and non-relational), data integration, business continuity (backup, disaster recovery, high availability), compute, application architectures, networking and migration strategies.

What is the difference between AZ-305 and AZ-104?

AZ-104 (Azure Administrator) focuses on day-to-day administration (deployment, resource management). AZ-305 (Architect) focuses on designing architectures: turning business requirements into reliable, secure and optimised Azure solutions. AZ-104 is a recommended prerequisite.

How long does it take to prepare for the exam?

The MFE-IT training lasts 4 days (28 hours), fully tailored, with a maximum of 3 participants per session. It covers the five domains of the exam.
