FAQ
What is the Microsoft AZ-104 certification?

The Microsoft AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate) certification validates the skills to administer an Azure infrastructure in production. At MFE-IT it is delivered in a small group and tailored to your context.

What is the difference between AZ-900 and AZ-104?

The AZ-900 is the foundational certification (Azure concepts, cloud models, pricing, governance), accessible to any profile. The AZ-104 is the technical administrator certification.

What are the technical prerequisites?

Significant experience in systems administration (Windows Server, Linux), TCP/IP networking basics, PowerShell or Bash, and general cloud awareness.

Does the course cover identity, storage, compute (VMs), virtual networks and monitoring on Azure?

Yes. The AZ-104 (Azure Administrator) preparation covers identity and governance management (Entra ID, RBAC), storage, compute (virtual machines, containers), virtual networks (VNet, load balancing), as well as monitoring and backup.

What is the difference between AZ-104 and AZ-305?

AZ-104 (Administrator) focuses on day-to-day administration of Azure resources. AZ-305 (Architect) focuses on designing architectures. AZ-104 is a recommended prerequisite before AZ-305.

How long does it take to prepare for the exam?

The MFE-IT training lasts 3 days (18 hours), fully tailored, with a maximum of 3 participants per session. It covers the five domains of the exam.
