This IBM Db2 LUW Fundamentals Training Course – Introduction to Database Administration on Linux introduces you to using and performing basic administration of an IBM Db2 (Linux, UNIX and Windows) relational database on Linux. You will learn to install Db2 on a Linux server, navigate its environment, use the db2 CLP, work with objects and write your first SQL queries.

This course includes extensive exercises (60% hands-on) for better learning. Sessions are guaranteed from a single registrant (except in cases of force majeure). A preliminary interview takes place between the participant and/or a company contact in order to fully account for the participant’s profile (level, needs, professional context, challenges, etc.).
Assessment: throughout the course, the trainer evaluates participants’ progress through quizzes, role-play scenarios and hands-on labs. Participants receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course.

IBM Db2 LUW (Linux, UNIX and Windows) is IBM’s relational database management system for distributed environments, deployed in particular on Linux servers. This introductory course walks you through its fundamentals and basic administration over 5 days (35h).
Db2 LUW (Linux, UNIX and Windows) is the distributed version of Db2, installed on Linux, UNIX or Windows servers. Db2 for z/OS is the mainframe version. The SQL language is largely common, but administration and tooling differ. This introductory course focuses on Db2 LUW on Linux.
This introductory course is aimed at beginners: Linux/system administrators, developers, IT technicians and future junior DBAs who want to discover Db2 LUW. Basic Linux administration and SQL skills are enough; no mainframe knowledge is required.
The course lasts 5 days (35 hours), in a fully tailored format with a maximum of 3 participants per session. It covers the fundamentals of Db2 LUW: installation on Linux, environment, objects, SQL, utilities and the first administration tasks. 30 days of post-training support.
