The DP-800 training course prepares technical teams to design, develop and operate modern SQL databases, enriched by the latest advances in artificial intelligence. It covers the Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Database and SQL in Microsoft Fabric platforms, with a focus on the new vector services, semantic search and the integration of AI assistants within data workflows.
Through guided workshops, participants learn to model a robust schema, optimise T-SQL queries, secure data access, and integrate AI features (embeddings, vector search, copiloting). The course is aimed at SQL developers, DBAs, data engineers and architects who want to professionalise their SQL databases and prepare for the official Microsoft DP-800 exam.
To go further on these topics, also discover our Artificial Intelligence training catalogue and our Databases & BI training courses.
Our sessions are guaranteed from a single registrant, with no risk of postponement (except in cases of force majeure). A preliminary interview is held with the participant and/or a company representative. It helps to define the participant’s profile: level, needs, context and challenges.
Assessment: the trainer tracks progress through quizzes, practical scenarios and hands-on exercises. Participants receive a certificate of achievement at the end of the course.
This course is part of our Artificial Intelligence training catalogue — discover our other AI courses to fully harness the potential of machine learning, LLMs and generative AI. It is also part of our Databases & BI training courses, to model, exploit and add value to your business data.
This course is funded directly by the company (no CPF, no OPCO). See our funding terms.
The Microsoft DP-800 (Developing Azure SQL Database solutions) certification validates the skills of professionals who design and develop SQL database solutions on Microsoft platforms. The exam covers modelling, advanced T-SQL development, security, performance, deployment, as well as the new AI use cases associated with SQL databases (embeddings, vector search).
The DP-800 training course is delivered as an interactive virtual classroom (remote) or at your premises on request. It alternates theory, demonstrations and hands-on workshops on SQL Server, Azure SQL Database and SQL in Microsoft Fabric environments. Each participant has access to a dedicated lab environment to work with the concepts covered and prepare effectively for the exam.
Participants should have some initial experience with relational databases and writing SQL queries. Basic knowledge of Microsoft platforms (SQL Server, Azure) and general notions of cloud services are recommended. No prior AI expertise is required: the AI topics (embeddings, vector search) are introduced progressively during the course.
The DP-800 training course at MFE-IT lasts 3 days, i.e. 18 hours, delivered remotely (synchronous sessions, workshops and practical cases) or at your premises. The course covers the entire official DP-800 programme: design, T-SQL development, security, performance, AI integration and deployment.
No. MFE-IT does not directly manage CPF or OPCO files and our organisation is not Qualiopi-certified. This course is therefore aimed only at companies that fund it directly. This is a deliberate choice: we have prioritised pedagogical agility and investment in genuine quality over administrative compliance. In return, you benefit from a 100% tailor-made format: a preliminary interview, content adapted to your business context, sessions guaranteed from a single registrant (except in cases of force majeure), a maximum of 3 participants per session and 30 days of post-course support by email.
