Description of the training: Cisco ENWLSI Training Course – Enterprise Wireless Networks
About the Cisco ENWLSI training

This 5-day course makes you autonomous in deploying, securing and optimising Cisco enterprise wireless networks. You practise secure client connectivity (802.1X), Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) integration, Wi-Fi quality of service, location services and monitoring with Cisco Prime Infrastructure.

The course blends theory with guided hands-on labs. It complements the Cisco ENCOR course.

Good to know
Good to know before you enrol

The course suits experienced networking profiles, ideally after CCNA/ENCOR. A preliminary discussion validates your knowledge (routing, switching, Wi-Fi basics) and adjusts the pace across the five days.

Objectives of the training: Cisco ENWLSI Training Course – Enterprise Wireless Networks
Learning objectives of the Cisco ENWLSI course

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Secure the wireless infrastructure and troubleshoot incidents
  • Implement secure client connectivity (802.1X, EAP)
  • Integrate Cisco ISE for authentication and access control
  • Configure quality of service (QoS) on Wi-Fi networks
  • Deploy location and mobility services
  • Monitor the infrastructure with Cisco Prime Infrastructure
Prerequisites of the training: Cisco ENWLSI Training Course – Enterprise Wireless Networks
Prerequisites for the Cisco ENWLSI course

General knowledge of networking, wireless networks, routing and switching is recommended, or completion of the CCNA and ENCOR courses along with wireless foundations.

Because every participant is unique, a personalised interview with our expert lets us design a course perfectly aligned with their objectives, level and professional challenges.

FAQ
What is ENWLSI?

ENWLSI (Implementing Cisco Enterprise Wireless Solutions) covers advanced skills for deploying and securing Cisco enterprise wireless networks: security, client connectivity, QoS, mobility and monitoring. This course covers its technical scope.

What is 802.1X?

802.1X is a network access control standard that authenticates each client before granting network access (wired or Wi-Fi), via an authentication server such as Cisco ISE. The course teaches you to implement it on the wireless infrastructure.

What is Cisco ISE used for in a Wi-Fi network?

Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) centralises authentication, device profiling and access policies. Combined with Wi-Fi, it enables identity- and context-based access control. The course covers its integration.

What is QoS on a wireless network?

Wireless QoS (Quality of Service) prioritises certain flows (voice, video) to guarantee their quality despite the shared nature of the radio medium. The course teaches you to configure it on Cisco controllers and access points.

What is a Wi-Fi mesh network?

A mesh network links access points together over radio, without systematic cabling, to extend coverage (warehouses, outdoors). The course addresses its deployment within advanced wireless services.

How do you monitor a Cisco wireless network?

Monitoring relies on tools such as Cisco Prime Infrastructure for centralised management, coverage mapping and diagnostics. The course covers their use to operate and troubleshoot the infrastructure.
