FAQ
What is the CompTIA A+ certification?

CompTIA A+ (Core 1 220-1101 + Core 2 220-1102) is the reference certification for entry-level support and IT technicians. It validates skills in hardware, OSes (Windows, macOS, Linux, mobile), networking, cloud, basic security, troubleshooting and operational best practices.

Who is the CompTIA A+ certification for?

For career changers, junior helpdesk technicians, apprentices and anyone wishing to enter IT with a solid, internationally recognised foundation. It then opens the way to Network+, Security+ or a vendor path.

Is the A+ exam included in the course?

Yes. Our CompTIA A+ certification course includes sitting both official Core 1 and Core 2 exams, with vouchers and support.

Does the course cover hardware, operating systems, networking and troubleshooting?

Yes. The preparation covers both A+ exams (Core 1 and Core 2): hardware and peripherals, networking and mobile technologies, virtualisation and cloud, operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), security, hardware and software troubleshooting and operational procedures.

What is the difference between CompTIA A+ and Network+?

A+ validates general IT support and maintenance skills (workstations, hardware, OS, networking and security basics). Network+ is a networking specialisation (protocols, infrastructure, network security and troubleshooting). A+ is the entry point; Network+ comes next.

How long does it take to prepare for the A+ certification?

Our A+ course runs over 4 days (28 hours) in a fully tailored format. This volume is suited to preparing for both exams with hands-on labs.
