GOOD TO KNOW
This training course includes numerous exercises (60% practical) to enhance learning. Even if you are the only one registered, the session will still take place (except in cases of force majeure). A preliminary interview is held between the participant and/or a company representative in order to fully assess the participant’s profile (level, needs, professional context, challenges, etc.).
Assessment : during the training course, the trainer assesses the participants’ progress through multiple-choice questions, role-playing exercises and practical work. Participants receive a certificate of completion at the end of the training course.
This training course is part of our Workstations Training Courses. Discover our other workstation trainings to deploy, administer and secure your fleet of Windows endpoints.

By the end, each participant will be able to :
- Manage and secure Linux network services (SSH, FTP, DNS, Apache/Nginx, etc.)
- Deploy and maintain robust automation scripts
- Implement a system security policy (firewall, auditing, hardening)
- Diagnose system failures, monitor performance, and manage logs
- Manage partitions, file systems, and advanced maintenance operations
- Strengthen best practices for Linux management in the enterprise
Prerequisites
- Completion of the ‘Linux Administration – Administration Level’ training course or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in command line, basic services and Linux installation.

FAQ – Advanced Linux Administration Training
What does advanced Linux administration cover?
Advanced Linux administration covers systemd, fine-grained process management, LVM and RAID, quotas, PAM, advanced SSH, monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana), backups (restic, Bacula), Ansible automation, high availability (keepalived, Pacemaker), and SRE best practices.
Advanced vs. expert-level Linux administration: what is the difference?
The advanced level targets operational administration in production (setup, maintenance). The expert level adds deep debugging and extreme optimization (eBPF, kernel tuning). MFE-IT clearly distinguishes the two learning paths.
How do you set up high availability on Linux?
Via keepalived for IP failover, HAProxy for load balancing, Pacemaker/Corosync for application clusters, database replication, and shared storage (NFS, GlusterFS, Ceph). MFE-IT presents proven architectures.
How long does it take to master advanced Linux administration?
Our Advanced Linux Administration training runs over 5 days (35 hours) in a 100% tailor-made format. This volume covers systems, networking, security, and HA aspects in a professional environment.
