FAQ – Microsoft 365 Endpoint and Intune Administrator Training
What does an Intune administrator do?
A Microsoft Intune administrator manages and secures end-user devices — Windows, macOS, iOS, iPadOS, Android — through cloud-based policies. Responsibilities include enrolling devices, configuring compliance and conditional access, deploying applications and certificates, applying security baselines, managing updates (Windows Update for Business, Autopatch), and monitoring fleet health. MFE-IT trains administrators on the full Microsoft 365 endpoint and Intune administration scope.
What is endpoint management?
Endpoint management is the practice of administering, securing, and supporting end-user computing devices throughout their lifecycle — provisioning, configuration, patching, application delivery, security, retirement. Modern endpoint management is cloud-based (Microsoft Intune, Workspace ONE, Jamf), increasingly replacing legacy on-premises tools like SCCM. The MFE-IT Microsoft 365 Endpoint and Intune Administrator training covers Microsoft’s modern endpoint stack.
What is Windows Autopilot?
Windows Autopilot is the Microsoft cloud-based zero-touch provisioning service for Windows devices. New devices ship from the OEM directly to end users, who power on, connect to Wi-Fi, and sign in — Autopilot then configures the device automatically per Intune policies. It replaces traditional imaging in modern environments. Through MFE-IT’s hands-on approach, learners configure an Autopilot deployment scenario during the training.
How do you manage Windows updates with Intune?
Intune manages Windows updates through Update Rings (deployment cadence and pause controls), Feature Updates policies, Quality Updates policies, Driver Updates, and the Windows Autopatch service for fully managed update orchestration. Reporting tracks compliance and exposes failures. Our MFE-IT training course on Microsoft 365 Endpoint and Intune Administrator covers each Windows Update mechanism with deployment best practices.
